By law, CannaCard is required to follow all state and federal banking guidelines. As such, we are required that individuals pass KYC (Know Your Customer) to verify they are over the age of 21, and reside in the United States. This information is also used to protect the consumer from fraudulent charges, and prevent unauthorized access the customer's bank accounts.
Acceptable forms of identification are as follows: a vaild drivers license, state-issued ID, or United States-issued passport.
Cannabis is still illegal at the federal level. Because Visa, Mastercard, and most banks operate under federal rules, their network policies prohibit processing cannabis purchases. Some dispensaries get around this by ‘miscoding’ sales or using cashless-ATM/PIN-debit workarounds—but those are against card-network rules and accounts get shut down when discovered. Furthermore, bank and card-network enforcement has led to account shutdowns, and consumers can be swept up in it (not just dispensaries). Networks have explicitly forbidden cannabis transactions, cracked down on “cashless ATM”/miscoding schemes, and those investigations can prompt banks to close accounts tied to prohibited activity. To stay fully legal and stable, CannaCard uses bank-verified, ACH-based payments instead of credit/debit cards.

Transactions are encrypted end-to-end, and you control your account from the app.
Connecting your account is easy. CannaCard uses the ValidFi to verify your bank account and authorize financial transactions while securing your personal information with bank-level data encryption. Simply tap on the icon of your bank, or select "Search for my bank" and type in your bank's name. Then, follow the on-screen instructions by logging into your account with your mobile banking information.
When you load funds to your CannaCard app, they are available for use at participating dispensaries and retailers. The remaining funds in your account are stored (similar to other mobile wallets and apps) for future use.
Funds are typically available for use in less than 5 minutes of initiating a transfer. Simply drag down on the screen when you are on the Wallet tab of the app to refresh the screen to see your updated balance.
For every dollar you spend on purchases at participating dispensaries and retailers using the CannaCard app, you are rewarded 2 points. The more frequent you make purchases, the quicker the points stack up. Be on the look-out for special promotional point bonuses too (5x Rewards, 10x Reward days).
Customers can redeem there points for merchandise, access to special events, and more at www.CannaCardRewards.com. In-store, customers can use their points to reduce the costs of their purchases. Every 1,000 points redeemed equates to $1.00 off the final purchase price.
